Taiwan Trip - Part 1

 DAY 1

Hubby and I flew by Air Asia X to Taiwan for our 9D8N holidays. It's our 1st time travelling with Air Asia X... Hmm~ more comfy seat and much more spacious. And the best part was it landed at Taoyuan International Airport on time... :)

For our 1st night in Taipei, we stayed at City Inn III which cost us NT1690/night (Normal rate: NT2600) - approximately 5 mins. walk from Taipei Main Train Station

Having early dinner - Pork dumplings and braised pork rice with salted vege which cost us NT65 (Thumb Up! The best I've ever tasted!)

Supper for the day : Grilled spicy chicken @ NT145 (Thumb up for the french fries as well ! Wondering why the fries we have in Malaysia tasted so bad...)

DAY 2

On our 2nd day in Taipei, we took high speed train to Chiayi town before heading to Alishan at NT755/person only (managed to book the ticket online at 30% off for early bird...Hehe~) The whole journey took 1.5 hours.

Our bullet train ticket to Chiayi from Taipei
Mini bus that took us uphill to Alishan for
NT221/person
Shin Shin Minsu (Homestay) where we stayed
for 2 nights - NT1200/night
Yahoo...Finally managed to see Alishan forest train

Our dinner for the day : Seafood hotpot, stir fry Alishan's wild vege and fried noodles which cost us NT670.
